Answers to the most common questions.
Is the FAB-DIS guide free?
This guide is free and openly accessible. It helps anyone starting a FAB-DIS file understand what FAB-DIS is about and offers various tips: how to use the FAB-DIS tools, how to get started… Note that this guide does not in any way replace the FAB-DIS documentation (manual, template, attributes file, etc.) available through a FAB-DIS KIT subscription.
Which blocks should I fill in for my first file?
For a first FAB-DIS file, the simplest approach is to start with the 5 mandatory blocks: Cartridge, Commercial, Logistics, Media and Regulatory. You can then progressively enrich your following files with the conditional blocks according to your sector and your needs. The more complete your FAB-DIS file is, the better your listing will be.
What is the difference between FAB-DIS 2.3 and 3.0?
Version 3.0 enriches the existing thematic blocks and creates new ones to cover all current needs — from commercial identification to the most recent regulatory information. The structure is more complete and more dynamic. Note that FAB-DIS no longer supports 2.3 files, as this version is obsolete. However, if you are a FAB OFFER subscriber, you can ask FAB-DIS to convert your 2.3 file to 3.0 free of charge via contact@fabdis.fr.
How do I validate my file compliance?
Easy-Check analyses the structure and completeness of your file, detects format, code or consistency errors, and generates detailed reports. Once all the anomalies are fixed, you obtain a unique compliance number to share with your distributors. Access to our Easy-Check tool is available to all FAB OFFER subscribers.
Can I get help creating my first FAB-DIS file?
Yes. You can contact support at contact@fabdis.fr for any question about the FAB-DIS KIT documentation, filling in your file, using the FAB-DIS Connect platform, or the Easy-Check reports. You can also reach out to one of the FAB-DIS Inside partners for personalised support exporting your data into the FAB-DIS format.
