The FAB-DIS data model is an Excel file created by manufacturers and distributors (hence its name) in the construction supply sector. This file enables manufacturers to provide all the information—commercial, logistical, media, regulatory, etc.—about their products that distributors need in order to market them.

The CNR file is different from the FAB-DIS file. It allows you to specify your net prices and discounts for each distributor. The FAB-DIS file, on the other hand, contains all the information about your products—commercial, logistical, media, regulatory, etc.

With its 3,500 control points and detailed error report, Easy-Check allows you to correct any potential errors in your FAB-DIS file. You can then obtain a compliance number for your FAB-DIS file, which gives it priority with your distributors. This means fewer back-and-forth exchanges between you and your customers.

The FAB-DIS model is a common language between manufacturers and distributors. As a result, FAB-DIS files are accepted by nearly all distributors in the construction supply sector. This allows you to send a single file to all your distributors instead of completing different templates for each one. It saves you valuable time and enables you to market your products more efficiently and more quickly.

Yes. The English documentation is available in the FAB-DIS Kit.

All manufacturers and distributors can subscribe to the FAB-DIS Kit.
Only manufacturers can subscribe to a FAB Offer and to Move To.
Only distributors can subscribe to a DIS Offer.

You must first create your customer account on the platform connect.FAB-DIS.fr. Once your account has been validated (within 48 hours), you can go to the “My Subscription” section in your dashboard and select the subscription you are interested in. You can request a quotation or directly request an invoice if you want to benefit from the service immediately.

The FAB-DIS Kit has become paid because the development of version 3.0 was costly (more than 3 years of public consultation!). The price of the FAB-DIS Kit enables us to continue improving the model, enhancing our services, and providing you with high-quality support.

On FAB-DIS CONNECT, all subscriptions are annual, from date to date, and are automatically renewed.
If you wish to cancel a subscription, you must send an email to contact@fabdis.fr at least 1 month before its renewal date.

You simply need a FAB-DIS subscription (FAB-DIS Kit, FAB Offer, or DIS Offer).

Step 1. First, get familiar with the documentation (the template, the guidelines, the attributes, and the tables). Check which fields are mandatory and make sure you have all the required information internally.

Step 2. Compile all your product information in a separate working Excel file.

Step 3. Start filling in the FAB-DIS template (included with the Easy-Check Premium subscription) with only a few flagship references. Then run your file through Easy-Check to correct any errors until you obtain the unique compliance number for those few references.
For your first FAB-DIS file, the simplest approach is to complete only the first five blocks—Header, Commercial, Logistics, Media, and Regulatory—which are mandatory.

Step 4. You can then copy and paste the information from your working Excel file into your FAB-DIS file for your other products, making sure to follow FAB-DIS requirements, and run the file through Easy-Check again to obtain the unique compliance number for all your references.

We recommend switching to version 3.0 as soon as possible.
The year 2024 is a transition period between the two versions.
The year 2025 marks the full implementation of version 3.0.
We also suggest checking with your distributors to find out from which date they will no longer accept version 2.3.
Note: Easy-Check 2.3 will no longer be available from April 2026.
